Since LINC00483 was predominantly cytoplasmic, we hypothesized a "miRNA sponge" role for it. Accordingly, we computationally reconstructed the LINC00483/miRNA/mRNA axes and evaluated the expression of mRNAs in different experimental conditions inducing LINC00483 alteration. By this approach, we identified a set of mRNAs sharing the miRNA response elements with LINC00483 and modulated in accordance with it. Moreover, we found that LINC00483 is potentially under negative control of transcription factor HNF4α. In conclusion, we propose that LINC00483 is a tumor suppressor in CRC that, through an RNA-RNA network, may control cell migration and participate in proliferation signaling.Differential diagnosis of multiple primary lung cancer (MPLC) and intrapulmonary metastasis (IPM) is one difficulty in lung cancer diagnosis, and crucial for establishment of treatment strategies and prognosis prediction. This study aims to establish the criteria for molecular differential diagnosis of synchronous MPLC and IPM by the next-generation sequencing (NGS) method.
Training cohort included 30 synchronous MPLC (67 samples) patients and 5 synchronous IPM (13 samples) patients with adenocarcinoma. Criteria of MPLC/IPM differential diagnosis were established by results from a NGS-based 605-gene panel test. Subsequently, 16 patients (36 samples) were recruited as the validation cohort to verify the criteria.
IPM lesions showed a high degree of mutation overlap with an average concordance rate of 60.2% (range 15.8%-91.7%). IPM lesions had at least three common alterations, including both high-frequency driver gene alterations and low-frequency gene alterations. In contrast, the average concordance rad manner to verify the criteria, and 14 MPLC and 2 IPM were identified, which was 100% consistent with the results from independent imaging and pathological diagnosis.

However, the relationship between MetS and upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) has never been investigated before.
We identified 3,785 UTUC cases aged over 65 years old within the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results-Medicare database between 2007 and 2016. For comparison, non-cancer controls (n = 189,953) were selected from the 5% random sample of individuals residing within regions of SEER registries and matched with cases through diagnosis date and pseudo-diagnosis date. MetS and its components were all defined by using ICD-9-CM codes. Multivariate logistic regression models were conducted to calculate odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Time trends for MetS and its components were reported and we also performed dose-response effect analysis to test the concomitant effect of these components. The study was presented following the STROBE reporting checklist.

We performed a systematic review (CRD42020148579) following PRISMA guidelines and searched for literature in MEDLINE, Embase, and the Science Citation Index databases. We identified in three literature databases 7,594 different articles of which 35 met the inclusion criteria allowing for 27 analyses of 11 cancer outcomes after exposure to nine different types of vaccinations. We calculated summary odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) using random effects models.
We observed four inverse associations between childhood leukemia and certain vaccines as well as the number of vaccinations OR 0.49 (95% CI = 0.32 to 0.74) for leukemia death after bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccination; OR 0.76 (95% CI = 0.65 to 0.90) for acute lymphoblastic leukemia after Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccination; OR 0.57 (95% CI = 0.36 to 0.88) for leukemia; and OR 0.62 (95% CI = 0.46 to 0.85) for acute lymphoblastic leukemia after three or more vaccinations of any type. Two hundred forty HCC patients after curative hepatectomy between 2014 and 2016 were reviewed retrospectively. The cases were divided into narrow-margin (width of resection margin &lt;1cm, n=106) and wide-margin (width of resection margin ?1cm, n=134) groups based on the width of resection margin. Recurrence pattern, recurrence-free survival (RFS), and overall survival (OS) were compared between the above two groups. An additional cohort of nine cases with positive margin plus post-operative stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) was also analyzed for the recurrence pattern.
Postoperative recurrence was found in 128 (53.3%) patients.
